Step 1: Check the offline mode
If your Outlook account is set to Offline mode, then you will be facing few connection issues. Go to File menu and uncheck the Work Offline option to resolve the issue. Firstly click on the Send/Receive tab, then locate the button for Work Offline and click the Offline button. Now after clicking the Offline option, you would see the message Trying To Connect.... at the bottom of the window. Now if it connects, then the problem is resolved. - Close your Outlook account and open Control Panel.
- Click on the Mail icon and then click on Data Files.
- Now select the data files from the list and then click on Open File Location.
- Find the data files and rename the extension from .ost to .OLD. If the extension is .pst, don’t replace it.
- Close the window and open your Outlook account.
